Sarah Press

You don’t need to do things on your own. When life gets too difficult, talk with a professional a therapist, counsellor or psychotherapist. Therapy is not always the easy option, but it’s worth investing in where you want to be.

Find the right fit and look at different styles of therapy, Psychodynamic and person-centred understandings are integrated in my approach.

I work ethically within safe limits. I’m qualified and experienced in a huge variety of environments, working with children, young people and adults of all ages.

Therapy and supervision can be in person at the Rutland Therapy Centre in Oakham, on the phone or online

Training, Qualifications and Experience

My qualifications include an MA in Psychodynamic Counselling from the University of Leicester and a postgraduate certificate in supervision from Metanoia in London. I add to my skills with continuing professional development activities every year. My experience spans 21 years of supervised practice in a huge variety of environments, working with children, young people and adults of all ages.

In therapy I follow the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions, a set of standards from the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I’ve been a member of BACP since 1999 and registered since 2013, when the scheme began.
