Hello and welcome.
I have been in practice since 2011 and have a wealth of experience of working with adults in a health service and voluntary organisation helping people from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of issues, i.e., anxiety, depression, relationships, abuse, self esteem, anger management etc. Also, I have many years experience of counselling children and young adults in schools and through various voluntary agencies.
I am a qualified counsellor and I work in an integrative way which means I use a combination of therapies to best meet your needs, (Person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT approaches).
Whatever your reasons for seeking counselling, I am here to support you. Life can be challenging and we are expected to just get on with it; the truth is sometimes we cannot – we just need help and support. I provide a safe, comfortable and warm space where you have the opportunity to discuss whatever it is on your mind. This is within a supportive and relaxed atmosphere, without fear or judgement.
Therapy can help you gain a new perspective on your current situation, help you to explore your feelings to empower you to move forward with your life or feel better about yourself, maybe just give you the space you need to offload and truly be heard.
Taking the first step can feel scary and I understand the importance of finding someone that you feel comfortable with hence an initial consultation is offered to you to see if I’m the right therapist for you.
I can be contacted on my mobile or email address as listed. Please feel free to get in touch.
