Nicholas Jagels

I provide a safe, gentle and non judgemental space to talk. As an integrative counsellor, I accept that as individuals we are all unique and have different needs when seeking therapy and support. I believe that it is ultimately the relationship between the client and therapist that is fundamental for a trusting, understanding relationship My focus and approach is to allow for the opportunity to explore your feelings, emotions, relationships, ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour in a gentle manner. Making the decision to approach counselling or psychotherapy can be a positive step. It can help to gain a greater understanding to find the resources to make changes. It can also lead to self-discovery and self-awareness to live a more fulfilling life and to have more meaningful interpersonal relationships. You may be deciding to seek therapy because you are feeling low or in distress, or that you are confused with painful feelings that you do not understand, but you may also be coming from a place of curiosity. Whatever your reasons are, I am here to guide you through this process.

Training, Qualifications and Experience
I work with clients from all backgrounds and experienced working with depression and anxiety, complex trauma, sexuality, out of control behaviours and addictions. I studied at CPPD, one of London’s leading BACP accredited counselling schools and after completion of my level 7 qualification, I began to operate my private practice in 2015 and now work in both Central London and Hertford. Previously, I volunteered at The Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) for 5 years, helping people living with or affected by HIV. During my training, my placement for 2 years was with East London Out Project (ELOP). I also provided counselling at CPPD as part of their low cost counselling service.
As a member of the BACP, I am bound by, and adhere to, the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have regular clinical supervision and continue with my own personal and professional development.
