I am a qualified Person-centred Counsellor who integrates other therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am committed to working within their Ethical and Legal Framework to maintain a professional standard and to ensure the safety and welfare of clients.
I can offer you a confidential space to talk about your life and difficulties that you are going through. I can help you build upon your strengths, gain greater awareness and understanding, develop helpful perspectives, learn practical strategies and techniques which can help you get through life’s challenges. I will listen to you, show you empathy and not judge you. We will work together to help you discover new ways of overcoming your challenges, break unhelpful habits which can enable you to experience life in a positive way.
I have over five years of counselling experience working with adults, teenagers, children and couples of a diverse age range and issues in both long-term and short-term therapy.
Apart from working in Private Practice I have worked in various organisations, schools, Further Education and EAP’s. I have training and experience in play therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and couples counselling.
