Do you sometimes feel stuck, sad, anxious or depressed? Would you like some help finding clarity and a way forward?
I am a highly qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with over fifteen years of experience. I work in South Kensington, West London, providing short and long-term psychotherapy to adults. My approach is psychodynamic and I aim to provide clarity and knowledge as to why we feel and behave the way we do. Patterns of thoughts and behaviour starts forming early on in life. As we all have different experiences from childhood, the way we respond to difficulties vary depending on both past experience and innate personality.
In Psychodynamic therapy you will be encouraged to explore thoughts and feelings from both past and present, links can be made to increase your understanding of a particular problem and thereby easing the way forward. I will listen with empathy and without judgement and together we can untangle what is going on. You will be fully supported and guided towards making your own decisions. With increased self-knowledge and insight, you will be in a better position to make positive changes and to form closer and more authentic relationships, often resulting in increased self-esteem.
Psychodynamic counselling and therapy can help with a number of issues such as:
stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship problems, family issues, loss, divorce, break ups, loneliness and work related issues.
I offer an up to 20 min free phone consultation. If you would like to talk to me before deciding to make an appointment, please feel free to contact me. In the first session we will explore how I can help you and decide what is most suitable for your needs, short-term and time-limited counselling or open ended psychotherapy where you continue as long as needed. There is no obligation at that point, if we decide to start working together, we meet the following week and go through practical arrangements such as, day and time slot, payment, holidays etc.
it is normal to feel a bit daunted if it is your first time coming to therapy. It is a big step to have taken and you might feel unsure of what to expect. It is important to give time for trust to develop and those feelings will gradually settle. As an accredited BACP member I am committed to provide counselling and psychotherapy in a confidential, safe and non-judgemental environment. I also provide therapy in Swedish. I have a vast experience in working with people from all nationalities and different cultures living in London. If you would like to book a first meeting with me to see how I can be of help, please send me an email or give me a call. There is more information about me on my website but if you have any other questions please feel free to call.
In addition, I am also a qualified supervisor and provide supervision to other counsellors and psychotherapists. Please contact me for further details.
