I have completed an intensive four years of professional training at The Manor House Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling where I graduated with the Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Therapy in the Community and Diploma and a Diploma in Parent Infant Observation Course. I am an accredited member of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists.
I have had many years of experience working with adults in the private sector, and more recently in the NHS, who have suffered physical, emotional as well as sexual abuse. I work with people suffering from depression, stress, anxiety, bereavement, difficulties with family and personal relationships, confusion, eating disorders, and those who are experiencing difficulty coping with change.
I completed my training in analytic supervision at the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP).
I originally qualified in July 2007.
accreditation with BACP since 2011.
I have an enhanced DBS.
As a psychodynamic therapist and my interest in the child within and the influence our childhood has on the adults we become I believed that it was important that I undertake a parent/infant observation, which I did in 2010. I followed the child from birth until she was two years old. It was a very personal and emotional experience. This laid down the foundation for all the patients I have worked with since.
Another short course I attended was with couples at WPF, this has been an interesting and a reliable source of knowledge helping me to work with all relationships, whether childhood, professional or sexual.
The last course I undertook was a supervision course at SAP in Hampstead, I work with supervisees either one to one of in groups.
I work close to central Harrow in comfortable consulting rooms. I do not work weekends or Fridays. If you need special access, that can be arranged, but please let me know when booking the appointment.
