Maggie Lindsay Newman-Rose

Primary Location

I have a private practice working as a Creative Arts Psychotherapist, I also work for Local Authorities where I see young people, Social Workers and Foster Carers; these I support therapeutically or up date their training in understanding behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.  I specialise in working with  both adolescents and their parents.  I have a strong belief that a relationship needs to be established before any work can take place, and I pride myself on my warmth and complete congruence when working with any client group. I am qualified as a Life Coach, NLP practitioner, TA practitioner and my first consideration is to find a common language between therapist and client in order to encourage a sense of safety, containment and care.

I work primarily as an Integrated Psychotherapist, believing in providing a therapy that matches an individuals’ needs and call on my experience in efficient recognition as to whether a client is eventually seeking solutions and ideas or whether they need to be simply listened to an supported through their crisis.

I would describe myself as a very welcoming person, someone who has been described as ‘a person you feel able to immediately relax with and who creates a safe and containing place’.

I am also a foster carer and have been fostering for 6 years. I currently have one twelve year old boy who is long term with me.
