20+ years’ experience as a counsellor enable me to offer effective individualised, psychological therapy. I work with many life issues that arise for people – providing a supportive environment in which individuals, families, and couples can think through ways of managing the difficulties they face.
I am an integrative therapist – drawing on CBT, person-centred, psychodynamic and existential models. My focus is on helping individuals and couples heal, re-energise and become aware of their inner strength. I offer clients a safe confidential environment, listen to their concerns, and customise support plans to meet people’s unique needs.
I provide clinical supervision in Edinburgh and East Lothian for student and qualified counsellors/psychotherapists.
Whilst practising from an Existential framework, I draw on a number of other modalities including Psychodynamic, Person Centred and CBT.
Safe, supportive supervision is, of course, a fundamental part of our working lives in therapeutic contexts and I have many years’ experience exploring and supporting my supervisees to make meaning of issues arising for them in their work.
My sessional fee is £50 per hour, however I am happy to offer a free 1 hour initial assessment session to give us both the opportunity to meet and chat about our individual expectations and preferred ways of working.
