Hello and welcome!
In these times of coronavirus fear, affliction and anxieties, I would like to reassure all my clients and anyone looking in to therapy, not to suffer alone! Please feel welcome to book sessions or to contact me if you have any questions about the current situation. At my practice on Harley Street my colleagues and I are working hard to support and guide people through this time.
I am an experienced therapist working in private practice. Some people want a therapist to be with them through current life events, others want to work through past life events, and some others just want one or two sessions to vent or seek clarity on a specific issue that’s been niggling at them. I offer both long and short-term counselling to suit individual needs and welcome anyone to make initial contact with me.
During my career, I have been fortunate to gain a wealth of experience supporting people of all ages and from various walks of life through depression, eating disorders, loss, relationship difficulties, domestic violence, sexual abuse, PTS/PTSD, self-harm, self-esteem issues and coping with major life changes.
I have worked with clients through their suicidal periods and supported referrals to mental health teams, medical professionals and safeguarding teams on child protection issues. I have often been told that I make therapy an enjoyable, empowering and insightful experience for my clients. I place a lot of emphasis on getting to know my clients and giving them space and time they need to explore, be silent, express and most of all, to be heard.
My clinical supervisor works regularly with me on my caseload and has been a fantastic source of knowledge, support and guidance since the beginning of our professional relationship in February ’13. I have learned so much from all the different clients I have worked with and know for sure that I will never stop learning!
I am passionate about the work I do and the people I work with.
On a more personal level, I feel that my international upbringing has helped me to develop a natural ability to understand and connect with people. I am resilient, intuitive, a deep thinker and possess excellent interpersonal skills. I strive to meet the BACP personal qualities guidelines both at work and in my personal life. I speak a number of European languages and I enjoy expressing myself through art, cooking and the music I listen to. Learning and expanding my mind is very important to me. I enjoy reading the works of learned authors, socialising with a few close friends, and remaining open to new experiences.
