I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT Therapist) and have been working with clients with a variety of mental health difficulties since 2009 in both the public and private sector. I offer CBT and apply these evidence-based techniques to a wide range of anxiety, low mood and stress related problems.

CBT is an evidence based treatment for these disorders, and due to its extensive evidence base, is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), as a first-line treatment for mental health illnesses. CBT is a type of talking treatment that focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes may affect your feelings and behaviour. The treatment focuses on coping skills for dealing with different problems and is a relatively short-term therapy working towards specific goals that clients set at the beginning of treatment.


I have experience of working with individuals with a range of mental health difficulties, working with both adults and adolescents aged 14 upwards and I am able to draw upon a broad range of knowledge to help clients build awareness and develop skills to manage a range of emotional difficulties.

I work with individuals suffering from a variety of mood disorders such as panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, social phobia and post-traumatic stress disorder. I also use evidence based CBT techniques to help clients suffering from depression, stress and low self esteem.

Whilst I am primarily trained in CBT I also enjoy implementing more recent ‘third wave’ interventions such as compassion focused therapy and mindfulness as these techniques are often very effective for reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety.


I work on a 1:1 basis with client to help them to understand their current difficulties and we work together to try to implement alternative behaviours and techniques to improve their mood.

I also offer stress reduction workshops to groups of individuals hoping to manage their stress differently by using different CBT techniques as well as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
