I have more than 15 years of experience as a Psychotherapist, working with adults, couples and families with a range of issues. I am fully qualified and registered to practice Psychotherapy in the UK. I am a member of the BPS (MBPsS) and of BACP (MBACP). I am fully trained in Gestalt-therapy and Systemic Therapy, but I also use some techniques from different approaches.
My goal is to give a non-judgmental, comprehensive and safe environment for my clients, building a trustful therapist-client relationship. I believe that empathy is the most important key for a successful work between client and therapist and I can assert that I have a considerable capacity of putting myself in others shoes and empathising with my clients emotions and life story. Also, I am a warm and supportive therapist.
My purpose as a Psychotherapist is to bring self-awareness to the client of their emotional issues, behaviours and their way of connecting with themselves and the world. My work consists of walking with the patient through the discoveries, experiences and emotions, from the present and past, in the here and now, aiming for self-awareness. With more self-awareness, the client will be also be more self-confident and have more self-acceptance.
Weekly sessions are ideal for a better therapeutic process. I can’t pre-determine the number of sessions since I believe everyone has their own process and therefore their own time to deal with internal and deep issues. But I can work focussing on some issues, if it’s the clients goal.
I work with a diverse range of issues including low self-esteem, interpersonal difficulties depression, anxiety, panic attacks, stress, trauma, relationship issues, multi-cultural issues, loss, abuse and bereavement.
