The impact of sexual, physical and emotional abuse and other forms of trauma, including traumatic births can be devestating. I believe psychotherapy can help release people from these impacts and help them rebuild their lives and recover.
I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, EMDR Therapist, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, Level 3 Personal Trainer and Nutrition & Weight Management Advisor, accredited by the Foundation for Psychotherapy & Counselling (FPC), UKCP and CIMPSA. I have over twenty years experience as a therapist and specialise in working with survivors of sexual abuse, abusive relationships, rape and bullying and also have a special interest in birth trauma. I use my therapeutic and PT skills to work with the mind and body, including trauma and emotion trapped in the body. I also work with weight management issues, using my training, nutrition advice and therapeutic understanding to help people work through the psychological and physical issues related to weight management, especially where there is a connection with histories of trauma and abuse.
