There are many ways in which our view of ourselves and our future may change, and with this we can lose our sense of purpose and even our sense of self.
I specialise in working with clients who are dealing with loss in many ways, including
- Loss of a loved one/bereavement
- Termination of pregnancy
- Diagnosis of foetal abnormality
- Relationship breakdown
- Chronic illness
It can be very difficult to talk about these issues, others do not know what to say to you, and may even minimise your loss, which can be very traumatic. It can be a great relief to speak to someone non-judgmental, who really listens and can understand the world from your perspective.
I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent’s University of London. I have a private practice in Enfield. I also work in a charity supporting clients who have had a bereavement, and previously worked with a charity supporting clients who suffered issues with pregnancy. I am registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and abide by their code of ethics.
I also have a Masters in Health Psychology and worked for many years supporting struggling students in a prestigious London medical school.
